Graz

Grazer Verkehrsbetreibe

120 was built by Grazer Waggonfabrik in 1909 as 88.  It was rebuilt in 1953 as 120 and sent to National Capital Trolley Museum at Wheaton, MD, in 1969.  It was burned on September 28, 2003.

552, GT8-ER, was built by Duwag-Kiepe in 1954, as Wuppertaler Stadtwerke AG 3806.  It was sold as GV 552 in June 1984.  It was wrecked in November 1993 and scrapped in 1994.

11 was built in 1950.

14 was built in 1950.

15 was built in 1950.

64 was built by Lohner-DueWag in 1971.  It was retired in 2009 and stored at Kleinmunchen car shed.

82 was built by Lohner-DueWag in 1971.

83 was built by Lohner-DueWag in 1971.


St. Polten

Strassenbahn St. Polten

Construction began on the line in 1905 and opened for service on March 18, 1911.  When the power was cut for non-payment, it was closed on February 10, 1976.

5 was built by Grazer Waggonfabrik in 1928.  It was retired in 1976.


Vienna

Wiener Lokalbahnen

200 was built by Grazer Waggenfabrik in 1900.  It was was a test car but failed for regular service.  It was stored until 1955 when it was sent to the museum.  It was restored and leased for special trips.

18 was built in 1944.

20 was built in 1944.

40, Class GT10, was built by Duewag.

73, Class GT10, was built by Duewag.

706, Class F.

Type K cars were built between 1912 and 1915.

Type L cars were built between 1918 and 1921.

4039 was built in 1927.

The 4200s were built by   in 1939. In 1949, 42 cars were sent to Vienna under the Marshall Plan. For further information on these cars, we have a full page.

4203 was built by TARS  in 1939 as TARS 665.  It became WSV as 4203 in 1949.

4205 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 638.  It became WVS 4205 in 1949.

4216 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 631.  It became WSV 4216 in 1949. It was returned to the U.S. and was restored at Seashore Trolley Museum at Kennebunkport, ME.

4218 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 636.  It became WSV 4218 in 1949.

4220 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 678.  It became WSV as 4220 in 1949.  It was returned to the U.S. 1971 and was restored at National Capital Trolley Museum.

4231 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 681.  It became WSV as 4231 in 1949.

4234 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 634.  It became WSV 4234 in 1949.

4239 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 629.   It became WSV 4239 in 1949. It was returned to the U.S. in 1966 and was restored at Branford, where it is considered one of the best cars in the fleet.

4242 was built by TARS in 1939 as TARS 640.  It became WSV 4242 in 1949.

4550, Type E1, was built by Duewaeg.

6062 was built by Simmeringer Waggonfabrik in 1920 as 2249. It was rebuilt in 1935 and rebuilt in 1938.  It became work service as 6062 but never remodelled.   It was donated to the National Capital Trolley Museum in 1969 but burned on September 28, 2003.
