Lehigh Portland Cement Co.
The history of Lehigh Portland Cement goes back to 1897 in Allentown, PA. In 1977 it became a part of Heidelberg Cement of Germany.
1, 70 Ton, was built by General Electric on December 1956, #32679. The plant became LaFarge Cement Co. 1 was donated to the local Lions Club and operated by Pend Oreille Valley as POVA 103 in 1998. It was sold to Almanor RR but never relettered. When Almanor abandoned, it was sold as Oregon Shortline LLC 70 in November 2011.
7 was built by Porter in 1942, #7367. It has now been preserved at the New Braunfels Railroad Museum in Texas.
5, SW1, was built by Electro-Motive in May 1953, #18441. It later was sold to Alabama By-Products Co as 5.
This un-numbered 23 Ton General Electric worked at Mason City, IA.
1, 20 Ton, was built by General Electric in June 1938, #12449, as Lehigh Portland Cement Co no number. It became General Portland Industries 1 later and donated to Midland RR at Baldwin City, KS.
