Early Passenger Diesels
9900 "Pioneer Zephyr" was built by Budd, #94600-50, and powered by Electro-Motive in April 1934, #509, FN E119-1. After retirement in 1960 it was placed on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
9903 "Injun Joe" was built by Budd and powered by Electro-Motive in October 1938, #521, FN E133-1. Retired in May 1958 and sold to Frank Dashner to be a restaurant. He died and sold to Midwest old Thrashers Assn. They sold it to a Kansas City banker who planned to sell it to Saudia Arabia but he died. It was sold to David Sims in 1984 but became bankrupt. It was sold to Mark Twain Corp and sent to Joliet, Ill, and still waiting for more investors. It was sold to Wisconsin Great Northern RR in July 2020.
9906B "Silver Queen", EB, was built by Budd and powered by Electro-Motive in October 1936, #625, FN E138-1. It was scrapped in June 1957.
9907B "Silver Princess", EB, was built by Budd and powered by Electro-Motive in October 1936, #626, FN E138-2. It was scrapped in May 1957.
9908 "Silver Charger", AA, was built by Budd and powered by Electro-Motive in April 1939, #96101, FN E212-1. It was donated to National Museum of Transportation in 1966.
