Photos Oliver Iron Mining Co.
One of the earliest uses of diesel locomotives in Northern Minnesota was the Oliver Iron Mining Co. They had HH1000s from Alco before the Duluth Missabe & Iron Range acquired their Yellowstones. Here are a few photos of this operation from years past.
Steam power was eliminated shortly after the end of WWII.

Here is 600 out of service. I have no roster information on this locomotive.
The 900's were all switchers, beginning with Alco HH1000s, Baldwin VO1000s, and other models ending with Electro-Motive SW1200s.

Choose Life.
Mom did.
We should strive to keep our hearts open to the suffering and wretchedness of other people, and pray continually that God may grant us that spirit of compassion which is true the spirit of God.
