Irving, Texas, Park

Back in 2019 I reached out to each of you at some point asking about the process of restoring your caboose rail car.
We eventually found a conservator, Ron Siebler, who
is in process of restoring our caboose rail car. This restoration is costing
+/-$230,000. The car was stripped to its steel frame and is being meticulously
reassembled. In the 30s this wooden car was converted from a box car. It remained in
service as a yard only car until 1974ish. It was purchased by the Irving Heritage
Society and delivered to the park for static display in 1986. In 2020 we began this
restoration with Ron Siebler, a conservator of old houses and rail cars.

Please feel free to forward to anyone who may be interested. I sincerely appreciate
your help that lead us to this point. The car should be complete for our park
dedication ceremony December 4, 2021 at which time it will be open for tours.
