Hales Corners-East Troy Line
The East Troy and Burlington lines were built to the south from West Junction. Originally they ran on the Burnham line past 84th. After the Rapid Transit line was built to the original rails at National Avenue.
0.0 All of the interurban lines began and ended at the Public Service Building.
7.6 A trestle carried the line over the C&NW lines and a small lake.
8.5 There was short stop at Meadows which apparently also had a turnstile.
11.0 Brookdale Siding included a siding into the Greendale construction area. It was the crossing on Layton Ave,
11.2 There was a bridge on Root River Pkwy which built by the WPA.
11.3 A bridge was built in 1905 over Root River. It was torn down on November 9, 2017. The last car ran over it was Speedrail 63 on June 30, 1951.
12.7 Hales Corners was the last station after the line was cut back on August 13, 1939.
13.00 The line followed along Cape Road after the corners.
13.5 There was a loop and siding a little ways down the road.
14.9 There is a trail headed to Saint Martins.
15.0 Saint Martins became a major junction when the Burlington line cut off.
19.3 Muskego Center.
22.0 Prospect was the fourth station after St Martins.
23.0 Big Bend was originally planned as the end of the line for the Milwaukee & Muskego Lakes Traction Co. in 1899. It was sold to Milwaukee Light Heat & Traction in 1901 and used the Milwaukee & Beloit RR right of way.
32.2 Beulah Lake was the last passing siding before East Troy. It is now at the mid-point of the East Troy Electric Ry.
34.0 Army Lake was 2 miles from East Troy. It was the stop for the Salvation Army Camp.
36.0 East Troy was the terminal and opened up in 1910.
