Electro-Motive Passenger Locomotives
1, E3A, was built on September 13, 1938, #822, FN E254-A1, as General Motors Corp 822. It was sold as KCS 1 in April 1939 and renumbered 21 in January 1942. It was scrapped in January 1964.
2, E3A, was built on July 31, 1939, #938, FN E255-A. It was renumbered 22 in January 1942 and scrapped in November 1964.
3, E3A, was built on June 20, 1940, #1034, FN E293-A. It was renumbered 23 in January 1942. It was wrecked and rebuilt in January 1952 as E8Am, FN 8005-A. It was painted white in 1969 and sold to the Chicago & North Western as 5031B in January 1970. It was delivered in April 1970. It was sold to Regional Transportation Authority on December 31, 1977, and assigned 411, but it was not renumbered. It was retired March 23, 1983, and sold to the Smoky Hill Ry & Historical Society in March 1985. There is no other record I found after that time.
4, E6A, was built in January 10, 1942, #1431, FN E420-A1. It was renumbered 24 in January 1942 and scrapped in November 1964.
20, E7A, was built in July 1948, #6647, FN E1071-A1, as Maine Central 709, Class DP-1a. It was sold as KCS 20 in November 1963 and traded in to Electro-Motive in August 1968.
25, E6A, was built in January 1942, #1432, FN E420-A2, It was rebuilt in June 1959, #25355, E8Am, and sold to C&NW as 5032-A in January 1970. It was delivered in May 1970. It was sold to RTA on December 31, 1977, and assigned 412, but it was not renumbered. It was retired on October 8, 1981, and scrapped.
26, E8A, was built in January 1952, #14736, FN 6312-A1. It was traded in to Electro-Motive in 1968.
27, E8A, was built in February 1952, #14737, FN 6312-A2. It was sold to C&NW as 5032-B in January 1970 and delivered in May 1970. It was wrecked on March 18, 1971, and scrapped on April 26, 1972.
28, E8A, was built in February 1952, #14738, FN 6312-A3. It was wrecked on December 8, 1967, and traded in to Electro-Motive in August 1968.
29, E8A, was built in February 1952, #14739, FN 6312-A4, It was sold to C&NW as 5033-A in January 1970 and delivered in May 1970. It became Regional Transportation Authority as 5033-A on December 31, 1977, and assigned as 413. It was not renumbered and retired on October 8, 1981. It was scrapped.
