700 Series Cars
The 700 series cars were built in three groups and were double ended Peter Witt style cars. In the 1930s they were rebuilt as end door cars with the center doors completely removed and rear exit doors added. 700 thru 729 were built by Kuhlman in 1923. 730 thru 759 were built by American Car in 1926. 760 thru 776 were built by St. Louis Car in 1928 under order 1478.
700 was built by Kuhlman Car Co in July 1923 on Brill order 21859.
712 was built by Kuhlman Car Co in July 1923 on Brill order 21895.
726 was built by Kuhlman Car Co in July 1923 on Brill order 21895.
730 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
733 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
734 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
738 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
740 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
746 was built by American Car Co in May 1926. It has been cosmetically restored and is on display at the Monroe Shops.
749 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
752 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
754 was built by American Car Co in May 1926. It was retired in 1956 and the body was sold to the son of the company where it placed in Irving where it became a playhouse. It was donated to McKinney Avenue Transit Authority in 1994. It has been restored for service.
756 was built by American Car Co in May 1926.
768 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1928, #1478.
771 was built by St Louis Car Co in 1928, #1478.
