Forest Park was the terminal after the elevated trackage was taken over by the freeway people. Chicago service ended on September 20, 1953, and finally ended all service on July 3, 1957. Distance from Chicago was 9 miles
Glen Oak. Distance from Chicago was 21 miles.
Glen Ellyn. It was the first major station east of Wheaton. Distance from Chicago was 23 miles.
Wheaton was the center of the whole line.
Glenwood Park Power House was built in 1902 and expanded in 1911. We, the Illinois Electric Railway Museum members, were looking for a permanent site. We considered the Batavia branch and that power plant would have been a fantastic car barn.
Lakewood was on the Elgin branch and was the bus connection for Geneva and St. Charles and for Batavia after 1953.

Choose Life.
Mom did.
O God our Creator, from Your provident hand we have received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as your people and given us the right and the duty to worship You, the only true God, and your Son, Jesus Christ.
Through the power and working of Your Holy Spirit, You call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel of every corner of society.
