P Series Wreckers
P1, wrecker, was built by West Chicago Street Ry in 1895 as 1, mail car. It became Chicago Rys 1 in 1903 and renumbered P1 in 1913. It became CSL P2 in 1914 and rebuilt as a wrecker. It was rebuilt from a mail car and retired in December 1941/
P2, wrecker, was built by West Chicago Street Ry in 1895 as 2, mail car. It became Chicago Rys 2 in 1903 and renumbered P2 in 1913. It became CSL P2 in 1914 and rebuilt as a wrecker. It was rebuilt from a mail car and used as a whitewash car in later years. It was renumbered H1.
P3, wrecker, was built by Chicago Union Traction in 1905. It became Chicago Rys 3 and renumbered P3 in 1913. It became CSL P3 in 1914 and retired in 1942.
P4, wrecker, was built by WCStRy in 1895 as 3, mail car. It became CRys 3 in 1903 and renumbered H2 in 1913. It became CSL H2 in 1914 and rebuilt as P4, wrecker, on October 2, 1942. It was retired on July 2, 1948.
P5, wrecker, was built by American Car Co in 1891, as a Cicero & Proviso Street Ry passenger car. It was rebuilt as Chicago Union Traction Co 9, mail car in 1900 as a mail car and as CRys 9 in 1903. It was renumbered H8 in 1913 and became CSL H8 in 1914. It was rebuilt as P5, wrecker, on August 27, 1919. It was retired February 9, 1951.
P6, wrecker, was built by W&F in 1895 as CRys 4038. It was rebuilt as wrecker and renumbered P6 in 1913. It became CSL P6 in 1914 and retired in 1933.
P7, wrecker, was built by Jackson & Sharp in 1882, as CRys 4080. It was rebuilt as wrecker and renumbered P7 in 1913. It became CSL P7 in 1914 and retired in 1933.
P8, wrecker, was built by WCStRy in 1895. It became CRys 4, mail car, in 1903 and renumbered H3 in 1913. It became CSL H3 in 1914 and rebuilt as P8, wrecker, on September 23, 1919. It was retired in 1943.
P9, wrecker, was built by Chicago Union Traction in 1901 as 4556. It was rebuilt as a wrecker and renamed P6 in 1913. It became CSL P9 in 1914 and retired in 1943.
P201, wrecker. was built by Pullman Car Co in 1896 as Chicago City Ry 2222. It was rebuilt as 2064 and renumbered P201 in 1913. It became P201 in 1914 and retired in 1933.
P202, wrecker. was built by Pullman Car Co in 1896 as Chicago City Ry 2229. It was rebuilt as 2054 and renumbered P202 in 1913. It became P202 in 1914 and retired in 1933.
P203, wrecker. was built by Pullman Car Co in 1896 as Chicago City Ry 2249. It was rebuilt as 2021 and renumbered P203 in 1913. It became P203 in 1914 and retired in 1933.
P251, wreck trailer, was built by CCRy in 1903 as C2. It was renumbered P251 in 1913 and became CSL P251 in 1914. It was retired on May 27, 1952.
P301, wrecker, was built by Jewett Car Co in 1902 as South Chicago City Ry 418. It became Chicago & Southern Traction Co 57 in 1908 and renumbered P301 in 1913. It became CSL P301 in 1914 and retired in 1916.
