Route 21
Route 21, NORTH AVENUE, began in June 1897 from North and Farwell Ave on North Ave, Humboldt St, Lee St (Meinecke St), Holton St and North Ave to N 21 St, Fond du Lac Ave. On May 1, 1902 it was extended to N 39th. It was extended on December 16, 1911, to N 45th and on November 16, 1912, to N 47th. In 1920 and 1921 there was a rebuilt viaduct near the east end. It was one manned on August 14, 1927, and extended to 60th. Rail service from Holton to 3rd was closed on July 26, 1936, and from 3rd to Fond du Lac was closed on August 13, 1936. Trackless trolleys were replaced on November 8, 1936.
There was reconstruction on the street when there was a crossing at 12th.
