E Series Sweepers

 

E1, sweeper, was built by Lewis and Fowler in 1895 as Chicago Rys 2.  It was renumbered E1 in 1913 and became CSL E1 in 1914.  It was retired on November 24, 1950.

E2, sweeper, was built by Lewis and Fowler in 1895 as CRys 4.  It was renumbered E2 in 1913 and became CSL E2 in 1914.  It was retired on Decemer 6, 1951.

E3, sweeper, was built by Lewis and Fowler in 1895 as CRys 5.  It was renumbered E3 in 1913 and became CSL E3 in 1914.  It was retired on November 29, 1951.

E4, sweeper, was built by Brill Car Co in 1895 as Chicago Union Traction Co 18.  It became CRys 7 in 1908 and renumbered E4 in 1913.  It became CSL E4 in 1914 and retired on November 16, 1951.

E5, sweeper, was built by Brill Car Co in 1895 as CUT 19.  It became CRys 8 in 1908 and renumbered E5 in 1913.  It became CSL E5 in 1914 and retired on August 10, 1951.
