850 Series Convertables
851 thru 1145 were 12 window convertibles built by Brill in 1909. Most were used on conduit lines in Manhattan, but many did get trolley poles for use elsewhere on the system.
851 was built by Brill in 1909. It was the pilot model for this series and had a straight ended side sill. It was renumbered 392 in 1913 and replaced by another 851 in 1913. It was renumbered 697 in 1917. In 1939 it was renumbered 1142 and scrapped in 1947.
2nd 851 was built by Brill in 1909 and was unknown renumbered car. It was scrapped at an unknown date.
856 was built by Brill in 1909. It was scrapped in 1946.
884 was built by Brill in 1909. It was sold to Branford Trolley Museum in 1948.
887 was built by Brill in 1909. It was scrapped in May 1948.
899 was built by Brill in 1909. It was scrapped on August 24, 1936.
902 was built by Brill in 1909. It was scrapped in 1946.

1127 was built by Brill in 1909 for the Tarrytown, White Plaines & Mamaroneck RR. This was a Third Avenue Ry subsidiary which was sold to the New Haven RR in 1909. It was repurchased by Third Avenue in 1926 when the car became TARS 682. It was renumbered 1127 in 1939 and scrapped in July 1947.
1144 was built by Brill in 1909 as TWP&M 24. It was returned to Union Ry in 1909 and renumbered 394 in 1913. It was again renumbered in 1916 as 699 in 1917. It became 1144 in 1939 and was scrapped in October 1947.
