St. Clair Tunnel Company

In order to cross from the Canada into the US where the St. Clair River serves as a border, the Grand Trunk RR built a long tunnel between Sarnia, ONT, and Port Huron, MI. The original power was double ended tank engines, but it quickly was apparent that electric traction was needed. The tunnel was electrified in 1907. With the advent of diesels, the engine change at each end was deemed an expense that could be avoided. Electrification ended around 1960. The locomotives were very interesting box cabs of two types.

If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, your should approach God first with all your heart.  Ask Him simply to fill you with charity, the greatest of all virtues; with it you can accomplish what you desire.
