281L, Class 281, was built in June, 1956, #21127, FN 3191-A1. It was rebuilt at Cleburne as 2471, Class 2417, on February 11, 1977, and retired on June 12, 1984. It was sold to Blue Mountain & Reading in June 1984 and sold as Falls Creek RR 2471 in August 1984. It was sold as Louisiana & Delta RR 1503 "Bayou Sale".
281C, Class 281, was built in June 1956, #21128, FN 3191-A2. It was rebuilt at Cleburne in November 1976 as 2474, Class 2417. It was sold as Florida Central RR 2474 in February 1987 and renumbered 47 in 1988.
282C, Class 281, was built in June 1956, #21130, FN 3191-A4. In May, 1974, it was rebuilt at Cleburne and became the 2520, Class 2417. In February, 1987, it was sold to the Railway Engineering & Supply Co who sold it to the Hollis & Eastern in 1987.
283C, Class 281, was built in June 1958, #21132, FN 3191-A6, It was rebuilt at Cleburne 2460, Class 2417, in May 1977. It was later sold to Amtrak as 588 in September 1984 and sold to Naporano Iron & Metal Co.
284L. Class 281, was built in June 1956, #21133, FN 3191-A7. It was rebuilt at Cleburne on January 24, 1975, as 2482, Class 2417, and retired on June 26, 1987. It was sold to National Railway Equipment Co in July 1987 and sold as Columbus & Greenville RR 810 in February 1988. It was resold as Chattooga & Chickamauga Ry 103 in 1994 and scrapped in 2013.
284C, Class 281, was built in June 1956, #21134, FN 3191-A8. It was retired June 27, 1974, and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2504, Class 2417, on August 30, 1974. It was retired on June 26, 1876, and sold to National Railway Equipment in July 1987. It was then sold to MidSouth Rail as 7007 in December 1987 and then to GWI Switching Services as 1511 in December 1993.
285L, Class 281, was built in August 1959, #21135, FN 3191-A9. It was rebuilt at Cleburne in October 1977 as 2434, Class 2417, and retired in December 1984. It was sold to General Electric and then to National Railway Equipment Co. It was then sold to Columbus & Greenville as 805. It was scrapped on April 16, 2009.
286L, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21137, FN 3191-A11. It was rebuilt at Cleburne in February 1976 as 2480, Class 2417, and retired on January 9, 1986. It was sold to Blue Mountain & Reading in September 1986 and sold to Wacaccamaw Coast Line as 2480 in August 1988. It later was transferred to Clinton Terminal RR as 2480.
286C, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21138, FN 3191-A12. It was rebuilt at Cleburne on March 25, 1976, as 2479, Class 2417. It was sold as Thomas Steel Co 2479 on November 20, 1986.
287L, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21139, FN 3191-A13. It was retired on March 11, 1974, and rebuilt at Cleburne in July 1974 as 2516, Class 2417. It was retired on Marchh 31, 1986, and sold to Indiana Rail Road for parts on March 7, 1986.
288L, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21141, FN 3191-A15. It rebuilt at Cleburne in November 1977 as 2432, Class 2417, and retired on June 27, 1984. It was sold to Blue Mountain & Reading on July 11, 1984, and sold as Newton Asphalt Co 2432 in September 1984. It was scrapped in February 2012.
288C, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21142, FN 3191-A16. It was retired on April 27, 1975, and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2459, Class 2417, on May 9, 1977. It was retired in September 1984 and became Amtrak 587.
289L, Class 281, was built in July 1956, #21423, FN 3191-A17. It was retired on March 12, 1974, and rebuilt at Cleburne as 2519, Class 2417, in June 1974. It was scrapped by Southwest Railroad Car Parts in January 1985.
