In 1907, W.E. Pierce completed the B&I which ran from Boise to Caldwell, via Eagle, Star and Middleton. BVRy was built from Boise through Nampa and Meridian and Caldwel between 1906 and 1912. They were merged as Idaho Railway Light & Power Co in 1912 and operated as Idaho Traction Co. It was sold as Boise Valley Traction Co in 1915 Service ended in May 1928. Boise Western was set up for freight from Boise to Otweiler and Boise to Star but totally abandoned in 1931..
