Like most large cities, Chicago had trailers. They operated in small numbers into WWII, but most were early relegated to use as storage sheds around the city. They were built in several groups as follows:
8000 was built by CSL in 1921. It became a shed at 77th and scrapped on September 27, 1956.
8001 was built by CSL in 1921. It became a salt shed at North Ave. It was scrapped in 1965.
8002 was built by CSL in 1921. It became a stores shed at 77th Yard and scrapped on October 15, 1953.
8003 was built by CSL in 1921. It became a salt shed at Burnside Yard. It was transferred to 38th Yard and scrapped on September 27, 1956.
