Under Construction
New York Central
2-8-2s
1557, Class H-5o, was built by Alco-Brooks in 1915 as Cleveland Cincinnati Chicago & St Louis 6057, Class H-5o. In August 1936 it became NYC 1557, Class H-5o, and shortly afterwards was sold to the Alton & Southern as 17.
1331, Class H-5p, was built by Alco-Brooks in 1916.
2253, Class H-10a, was built by Alco-Schenectady in 1922. In the good old days, one of the best railroading locations was Englewood on the south side of Chicago. There were actually 2 locations, but Englewood Union Station was the greatest. Here were trains of the NYC, PRR, NKP, and Rock Island. The NYC had an engine terminal nearby which had a wide variety of power available for viewing or photographing. In July of 1950 I got a new Kodak Six-16 folding camera, and I couldn't wait until I got to Chicago the next month.
2367, Class H-10b, was built by Alco-Schenectady in 1924.

Choose Life.
Mom did.
Don's Depot One should not say that it is impossible to reach a virtuous
life; but one should say that it is not easy. Nor do those who have
reached it find it easy to maintain. ---St. Anthony of the Desert
